#6: Technical Pit-falls and Issues
Hey all, it's Alexiss. I'm writing this dev-log to generally talk about some of the game mechanic issues we've been having.
While our level is about 80% done, we are having some issues with our scoring system. When we first pitched the game idea we wanted our players to earn tips -these would grow or shrink based on choice and hints provided. While we have our tip variables integrated, we are still struggling with getting the total amount to provide correct ending based on how well (or how bad) the player did.
Another problem we are facing is formatting our menu boxes to be on the right side of the screen for the "dressing room" playthrough. This is the heart of our game play and basically tells the players the option of accessories and shows how each will look on the customer. This issue seems to be an easy fix, we'll just have to sit down and figure it out!
Lastly we are a bit puzzled about how to input custom pronouns for our players in the character dialogue. There's a way to add a customizated name to unity games but we aren't sure if it can be applied for pronouns.
